Customer Experience!!

After multiple people asking me about my blog, I thought it's high time I wrote something.. And I noticed a series of events that put some perspective to something that's very special to me.. Customer Experience.
As much as one would think it's boring to cover a topic that's been beaten to death, I couldn't find anything interesting, not yet!

My sister was coming for dinner, so my better half decided to go for the best... so we wrote out an awesome menu : Lamb Biryani, Fish Patty (Cutlet as we call it in India), Fried Prawns, raita.
As always, I was awake all night and slept early in the day targetting to get out of bed at 8:30 AM, so we could go pick up prawns, lamb and.. Fish.. Ramya ventured into a Fish store, a new one.. ordered prawns and fish. (there were 3 men working in this fish store)

while, Ramya was at it.. I ventured into a liquor boutique, looking for Jagermeister.. no stock, so I asked the gentleman at the counter, sir do you have "jagermeister" with it's real pronunciation..(YAY-gher-my-ster), the guy at the counter, clearly trying to show his knowledge, says saar.. that is Jager... J.. Y.. illa.. by this time Ramya had followed me, listening to him correct my pronunciation, she was in splits... and then.. we (Ramya and I) started speaking about Tequila, Jose Cuervo in it's actual pronunciation (Ho-Say Quervo).. and the guy asked me.. which Tequila saar.. this time I tell me.. Jo-se sir.. he understood!! Ramya was in splits yet again.. and he didn't have Jager, so we walked out not buying any thing.. (not like we walked in to buy something)

Since it was going to take time to get the prawns and fish, we went to the lamb shop, ordered lamb, since lamb was also going to take time due to the long queue, Ramya suggested that I go to the fish store next door and check the price of prawns.. So I did. Told her the price, and Ramya was now surprised, as the price at the previous store was awfully high. So we decided to buy the stuff here.. there was only one man in this shop and he said it's going to take a little while, considering the pricing we get, it was worth the wait, so I sat there watching this gentleman sell fish.. first, he had style when he cut the fish, he made no mistakes.. he had at least 6 people waiting, he was very quick at this job at the same time, he was making conversations and entertaining people.. Very enthusiastic, cheerful and we got a better price. Loved it.

Got back home, I had to get the much delayed Pedicure (yes, I pedicure. have a problem with that? too bad) Went to shop one for a shave and pedicure.. After giving me a shave, he decides not to give me a pedicure as it was a busy day and the place was too cramped. So I went to this another place, they got me a nice seat and thus the pedicure started. Loved it.

I noticed a peculiar thing about the shop, the owner was very good at serving customers, but she sucked at treating her staff with respect. She yelled at one of the girls so badly that that the girl had tears in her eyes..
To Summarize the kind of service I received on Sunday.

The Liquor Shop, the service was Ok but the staff needed training (V&A.. lol)
The Fish Stall guy clearly takes the cake. Awesome Service.
The Beauty Salon - The job was great, Service was good, if only the lady treated her staff with respect, it would be fabulous.

Ramya made delicious food, I thoroughly loved it!!
